Dyslexia is a learning disability that results from a diminished ability to process phonological components of language.
When we read, our brain takes the letters we see and turns them into sounds we can understand. Then, it connects those sounds to the meaning of words. For most people, this process happens smoothly. However, in the brains of people with dyslexia, the area responsible for connecting letters and sounds doesn't work as smoothly as it should.

Neurotypical Brain: In a neurotypical brain, language processing, including reading, is primarily managed by the left temporoparietal region. This area efficiently coordinates visual and auditory information, ensuring smooth reading experiences.
